Lesley Minich Jennings is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Rape Crisis Counselor, having practiced in Connecticut and California, providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups for over 17 years. Her work in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction, loss and co-occurring disorders, is achieved through a collaboration with her clients, in a safe, compassionate and judgment free space that creates the momentum for change.
Her professional experience includes many years of behavioral health management with private, non-profit, and government agencies, as well as school and field-based case management and treatment. She has worked in a broad range of settings including residential and outpatient mental health programs, community mental health, and private practice.
Lesley believes strongly in the healing power of nurturing, safe, and reliable relationships, and consistently strives to bring these qualities to the therapeutic relationship. Her therapeutic approach is client centered, attachment-based and psychodynamic, incorporating the strategies of Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, that build the skill sets needed for successful recovery.
With a love of the outdoors, animals, travel and music, Lesley spends her free time hiking, riding, going to the beach and walking her dogs. Seeking out good live music, attending film and the theater also rank high on her list of recreational pursuits.
